Man Faces Statutory Rape Charge

A 29-year-old Jackson man accused of raping a young acquaintance is free on a $40,000 bond. Perry Andrew Jackson appeared in Jackson City Court Monday where he was formally charged with aggravated statutory rape. Court papers showed the 14-year-old girl told investigators she awoke Thursday morning to find Jackson in the bed with her where he raped her. Jackson returns to court May 3.
