KY Officer Threatened at Gunpoint
Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man who surrendered after pointing a shotgun at an officer. The officer was dispatched Monday night to investigate a report of a man carrying a gun near Pleasure Ridge Park. The officer confronted the man, who raised the gun toward him. He then fired at the man, but did not hit him. The suspect finally surrendered and was arrested. Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell said the officer was placed on routine leave while the incident is investigated. The arrested man’s name was not immediately released.
