Food Fight at Lane Ends with Arrest

A food fight. That is what apparently landed a Lane College student in jail Wednesday night. Kenneth Moment, 18, of Memphis was charged with disorderly conduct and disrupting a lawful school school assembly, which are both misdemeanors. A police report indicated around 5, Wednesday afternoon, officers were called to Lane’s cafeteria in Phillips Hall, where several students had been involved in the food fight . Faculty and security told officers Moment was an instigator in a situation they said was very chaotic and dangerous.
