Lamar Superintendent Retires
Assistant Superintendent Carolyn Adams is retiring after forty-four years with the Lamar County School System. Adams started her career as an English teacher at Oak Grove High School. Over the years she served as a guidance counselor, principal, and became assistant superintendent in 2001. Adams says what she will miss the most is all the great people she has worked with. Interviews for a new assistant superintendent are ongoing and one could be named as early as next week.
