Jackson Symphony Reveals 2012-2013 Concerts
The Jackson Symphony Association announced its list of performances scheduled for the 2012-2013 season. This season of performances titled, “A Few of Our Favorite Things” marks the symphony’s 52nd season and will include a tribute to music director and conductor, Dr. Jordan Tang, who has been with the symphony for 27 years. Officials said this season is set to be a celebration featuring favorite composers, musicians, guest artists and concert venues. “We are bringing in some wonderful guest artists next year. Our really fun, fun, concert of the year will be our very cast concert in April and it will be a ’50s dance party, so I do think we need to dig out our poodle skirts for that one,” R. Lee Warren, director of the Jackson Symphony. Early Bird Season subscriptions went on sale Friday with the special discount price available until June 15.
