Hass Arraigned, Released on Bond

A former Jackson police officer heads to court following his extradition to Tennessee on charges concerning an incident that happened while he was on the force. Travis Hass, 29, was in Madison County Circuit Court on charges o filing a false police report. After he was indictment by a Madison County grand jury he was arrested last Wednesday in Chattanooga, where he now lives. Hass was then escorted from East Tennessee by Madison County deputies. The charge stems from an incident in June 2010 were Hass said he was ambushed and shot four times, though he is suspected of pulling the trigger himself. He is free on a $5,000 bond and will return to court June 18.
