Adam Mayes’ Mother and Wife Charged in Kidnapping

Two women are behind bars, charged in the kidnapping of the Bain family from their Hardeman County home. The wife and mother of suspect Adam Mayes are now behind bars after shocking revelations about their alleged participation in the family’s kidnapping. Residents in Hardeman County said, they are still shocked that a mother and her three young girls would ever go missing, two of them are now confirmed dead. “I’ts scary cause it’s a little town and nothing like that never come through here before,” said resident Levora Woods. Neighbors said they are even more frightened that another family is accused in the crime. “I can’t even imagine not only him doing this but then having his family participate in, ” admitted resident Sheila Movelli. Investigators have now arrested and charged Teresa Ann Mayes, Adam Maye’s wife with especially aggravated kidnapping. TBI agents said she admitted that on April 27, she drove her husband and the victims from Hardeman County to a home in Union County, Mississippi. “I hope there are clues that maybe the wife or the mother can provide I hope the two little girls are still alive,” said Movelli. Mayes’ mother, Mary Frances Mayes is charged with conspiracy to commit especially aggravated kidnapping. Last Friday, investigators found Jo Ann Bain’s body and the body of her 14-year-old daughter, Adrienne buried in the backyard of her home in Guntown, Mississippi. “How could a family do this to another family,” said Movelli. Adam Mayes remains missing, along with Alexandrea, 12 and Kyliyah, 8. Investigators believe Mayes may have changed the girls appearance and said he could be anywhere. “Let those kids go home to their, family you done did enough let’s let the kids go home,” said Woods.
