Does jewelry at the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department including sterling silver belong to you? “We believe there is a victim of a crime somewhere that is needing or wanting there property back,” said Chief Deputy Eric Uselton. This jewelry box containing the jewelry and pictures was recently found under a bridge between Maury City and Alamo. Some of the initials on the jewelry are S-A-A and S-B-A. “We have seen in the past where they will steal property or take the property that is not theirs and dispose of it as quick as possible,” said Sgt. Robert Howell. There are two reasons why the sheriff’s department wants to identify the owner of the jewelry and pictures. “One to get the property back to the victim, give them a little piece of mind maybe get some of there collectibles, heirlooms back and two we possibly could identify a perpetrator on a crime or burglary,” Uselton said. While the sheriff’s department works to solve the numerous burglaries in Crockett County. There is a man in Friendship that wants to help. He has put up 30 neighborhood watch signs. Bobby Stallcup wants crooks to know they have no friends in Friendship. “When you have an entire community on the watch things that just don’t look right then you have a lot better odds of not being broken into or harassed or even catching the crooks,” said Stallcup.
