The Lambuth Area neighborhood association had their monthly meeting, Tuesday night and discussed the progress on a downtown building project. Residents gathered in the Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church to hear about the progress of Jackson Walk, formally known as “City Walk.” Jackson Walk is an integrated commercial and residential planned community. Located just north of the Farmers Market, Jackson Walk will have 156 upscale apartment units and a new 20,000 square foot retail center. There will also be a new state-of-the-art wellness facility, operated by West Tennessee Healthcare. “Right now you will see some brick going up on the north end of the building and they are working in a really synchronized pattern to get it done on schedule,” said Dr. Lisa Piercey, vice president of Hospital Services with West TN Healthcare. The completion date for Jackson Walk is planned for the end of this year or in January of next year.
