South Elementary School students were glowing with knowledge Thursday at the third grade Science Fair. The kids not only created educational science booths but used black lights and glow ingredients to make the projects more exciting. They gave presentations to fellow students, teachers, and parents about their creations. Everything from an erupting volcano, to solar systems, to live animals were part of the fair. Students say the glow aspect made learning about their projects lots of fun. “We use it in all of our lessons a lot of time with review lessons. Kids aren’t black and white. They don’t learn in black and white so color brings things to life, that’s the focus in the classroom,” said Third Grade Teacher Margaret Campbell. This is the second year the school has had their glow in the dark Science Fair.
