Early Morning Shooting being Investigated
Jackson police are investigating an early morning shooting. According to investigators, a man was walking in the area of Lawrence Alley and Oak Street at about 4:40 a.m., Friday. The man said a black man in a tan or gold Jeep Cherokee drove up and shot him in the forearm. The victim was taken to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Police are still investigating and searching for the shooter.
