Toddler Killed in Car Accident
A little boy has been killed in Somerset when he was pinned to a wall by his mother’s car. Its reported that the death of 3-year-old Shannon Colt Norris, who died Sunday. Somerset Police Detective Chris Gates called the child’s death a tragic accident. Police said Shannon’s mother, Brittany Helton, was parking her car at a downtown apartment complex when the vehicle pinned the boy against a building wall. Pulaski County Deputy Coroner Jim McWhorter said the boy’s neck was broken and he likely died instantly. Gates said it isn’t clear whether the vehicle malfunctioned and police are having it examined. Helton, who is 23 and from Burnside, collapsed and was treated by medics.
