Muse Park to have One-Way Traffic on Sundays

Muse Park will see a big change this coming Sunday. Traffic will be one-way on Sundays effective this coming week. New signs are posted in the park indicating the change. According to city officials, all traffic on the south side of Muse Park will flow north to south from North Parkway to Muse Street. City officials said the change was made at the request of the police department. Police reportedly wanted the change to try and reduce congestion and allow for quicker response to potential emergencies. Traffic in Muse Park becomes extremely slow on Sundays due to high usage. “Nah I don’t really see it, I don’t see it working out for the best for the congestion that goes on in traffic I think the should probably just add a middle lane,” said Park goer, Faybin Penn. Jackson Police said officers will be on special patrol in the park to help ensure drivers are abiding by the new Sunday rule.
