Two Giants in Wrestling World Going to Court
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Two giants in the wrestling world are getting ready to rumble – in a courtroom. Nashville-based Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has filed a lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment claiming that a former employee gave WWE secret contractual information about its wrestling talent. TNA wants a court to stop WWE from using the confidential information to poach its wrestlers. The suit, which was filed in the Chancery Court of Davidson County, claims that WWE appears to have already used the information to try and lure a wrestler away from TNA. A Nashville judge has signed a restraining order barring WWE from using the information to soliciting wrestlers away from TNA and from interfering with any of its contracts. A hearing in the matter has been set for June 11.
