FLAG DAY COMMUNITY PICNIC Sponsored by LANA (Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association) Where: The front lawn of University of Memphis Lambuth Campus When: 5:00 p.m. Saturday June 9, 2012 Come join the entire community as we celebrate NATIONAL FLAG DAY, 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening June 9th on the front lawn of University of Memphis Lambuth Campus. The events will include a Bring-A-Dish Dinner. This year’s event will feature great entertainment, including a chance to meet candidates for various offices, as we picnic under the star… and stripes! Bring your lawn chair, blanket or whatever you’d like to sit on and bring a dish. Come enjoy good music and great fellowship National Flag Day honors the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as our national flag by the Second Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. This new flag symbolized the new nation, the United States of America. This potluck dinner picnic is open to the entire community. Everyone is invited to attend.
