Woman Hit by Train in MS
A Forrest County woman was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a train. Deputy Coroner Jonathan Nobles says the body of 48-year-old Carolyn Ann Spiers, has been sent to the state crime lab for autopsy. Nobles says Spiers was struck at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Leeville community northeast of Hattiesburg crossing the tracks on foot. Nobles said it is unclear what she was doing on the tracks, but that alcohol likely played a factor in the accident.
