Preliminary Hearing Held in Bar Beating Case

JACKSON, Tenn. – The man charged with second degree murder for allegedly beating another man to death at a local pool hall was in court for his preliminary hearing, Thursday. Two witnesses took the stand saying they saw Travis Holliday get into an altercation with Ken Brasher, also known as Ken Brasner, at Breaker Billiards on South Royal Street. Brasher’s family sat in the courtroom very emotional as they listened to the testimony of what witnesses described as a brutal beating. Two eyewitnesses contradicted one another on the stand as they described what Holliday was wearing the night of the murder. One said he was wearing a grey shirt, the other said it was a white shirt. The case was bound over to a grand jury.
