Man Found Beaten to Death in MS
Authorities say a 25-year-old Bentonia man is dead after being beaten, left on a county road then run over by a vehicle. Yazoo County Croner Ricky Shivers says the body of 25-year-old Lawrence Howard Swinney was found around 9:30 p.m. Friday. Shivers say Swinney’s body was on Highway 433 west of Bentonia. The coroner says he was run over by a westbound SUV. Swinney suffered massive head trauma as well as multiple injuries. Swinney’s death remains under investigation.
