JEA Warns of Utility Scam

JACKSON, Tenn.-JEA has a warning for customers about a scam that could be heading to the area. Customers of Clarksville Gas and Water Company have recently fallen victim to an email gift card. JEA is currently running a promotion offering $50 gift cards to some customers. Because JEA fears its legitimate offer will make it easier for scammers, it is halting all emails about its gift card promotion. Those who believe they are victims should contact the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs at (615) 741-4737.
