Alleged Elderly Abuse

A Saucier woman’s trial on charges she abused a vulnerable person has been delayed after developments on a new charge. 64-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Jackson has been arrested on a charge of exploitation of a vulnerable person. After her arrest Aug. 17, she was released from jail on a $25,000 bond. She was arrested Jan. 9 after indictment on charges of sexual battery of a vulnerable person by a person in a position of trust or authority and felony abuse of a vulnerable person. It isn’t clear if the new charge involves the same woman. Both cases are being investigated by the state Attorney General’s Office. It was unclear whether Jackson has an attorney.
