Huntingdon Business Losing Three Quarters of Workforce

HUNTINGDON, Tenn.- A West Tennessee business has announced a large downsizing that is affecting most of its employees. Behlen Country in Huntingdon plans to transition from a manufacturing facility into a full-service distribution center. In the process, 35 of the 45 employees will lose their jobs there by October. Behlen Country makes steel farm and ranch equipment. Officials with the company say they plan to help those effected by offering them the opportunity to transfer to another Behlen location.
