Man Dies from Injuries Suffered in Crash

JACKSON, Tenn. – A man has died from his injuries following a Tuesday morning crash in North Jackson. According to Jackson police, Michael Schenatzki died Thursday morning. Police report that he and his wife, who were in a Nissan, stopped to help a disabled motorist on North Highland Avenue, Tuesday morning around 10:00 a.m. Investigators said Michael Schenatzki was trying to do work under the hood and his wife and the other driver were standing in front of the van when another vehicle crashed into it. The van was projected forward into the Nissan and struck all three people. The other two people struck are being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
