First Friday Forum Returns From Summer Break

JACKSON, Tenn. – It has been a year since the University of Memphis has taken over the Lambuth campus, and on Friday they are celebrating their accomplishments. The University of Memphis Lambuth Campus’ first year was the focus of the First Friday Forum in downtown Jackson. University officials told 7 Eyewitness News one of their biggest accomplishments was hiring the faculty and staff last year. They had to do it all in three weeks, and have since hired more faculty. The university is continuing to remodel the campus, and officials stated they plan to renovate some dorms.
