JACKSON, Tenn.- The Jackson-Madison County African American Chamber of Commerce took some time Tuesday to honor first responders before teeing off for their second annual golf classic tournament, Tuesday. After honoring those officials for their diligence and commitment to keeping the community safe, teams of four took part in the four-person scramble at the city owned Jones Creek Golf Course. The proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the “Follow Me into Business” program, which benefits youth, ages 12 to 18. The program teaches job skills, basic business training, mentoring, employment and community involvement opportunities.
