One Charged, One Released after Fight Outside of Bar
JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police are investigating a fight in the parking lot of a local bar. According to investigators, police were called to the parking lot of Jimmy D’s in the 500 block of Old Hickory at 2:00 a.m., Thursday. Police believe the two men charged, Antwan White and another man were fighting over a previous drug transaction. Responding officers reported when they arrived, one of the men was in possession of a .38 caliber pistol. He dropped it upon being commanded to do so by officers. According to the report, officers learned that White pulled the gun, but the other man got control of the weapon just before officers arrived. The pistol was reported stolen from Medina. White is charged with disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of firearm and possession of stolen property. The other combatant who was taken into custody has been released and charges against him were dropped.
