ALAMO, Tenn. – One very special resident living the Alamo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was able to cross off a big wish Sunday, a helicopter ride. Mrs. Doris Meier is 105 years old, and she took her first flight with Jam N Aviation. Organizers said they found out about the grandmothers wish after Meier told her roommate at the Nursing home that she wished she could ride in a helicopter. Passengers said Mrs. Meier was fearless during her special flight.
