Pumpkin Field Day Held at UT Research and Education Center

JACKSON, Tenn.- Thursday was the Great Pumpkin Day at the AG Research Center in West Jackson. Hundreds were on the campus of the UT Center for Education and Research to see and learn about pumpkins. Attendees took advantage of free educational pumpkin production workshops, cooking classes and tours. One of the most popular displays was comprised of more than 5,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash. “I think the display is beautiful,” said Ginger Rowsey with the UT Institute Of Agriculture. “It’s really like a work of art. It’s kind of a pumpkin mosaic, if you will. And it’s always fun to come out here and see the different creations.” If you need information on pumpkin production or other crops, contact the UT Ag Research Center at (731)
