Police Seek Suspect in Purse Snatching

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police are investigating the robbery of a woman at the BP in the 2600 block of North Highland Avenue. The theft was caught on tape and they hope surveillance video will help lead them to the suspect. The incident happened on October 12 at 11:40 p.m. The victim told police that, as she sat in her vehicle in front of the store, a white man approached her, pulled open her drivers side door and grabbed her purse and shook her. The thief then ran with the stolen purse toward Holiday Drive. The suspect was described as a white man around 6’2″ tall with a thin build. The victim said that he had blonde hair and was wearing a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants.
