JACKSON, Tenn. – Hundreds of West Tennesseans took advantage of the gorgeous weather Saturday morning, and walked to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease. It was all part of Jackson’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Organizers said 375 registered walkers walked 1.5 miles on the campus of Union University. They said they raised more than $60,000, the most they have raised in the six years they have sponsored a walk. Organizers said 75 percent of the proceeds will stay in West Tennessee, going toward free services they provide to the community.
