Half-Mowed Yard Leads to Questions
JACKSON, Tenn.- A watchful resident is credited with spotting some suspicious activity in his neighborhood helping police with a possible attempted break in investigation. The man said two men were working in his neighbors backyard, Monday morning. One was mowing the lawn while the other was trimming hedges. He thought it was strange, since his neighbor has always cut his grass himself. The two men left the back yard only half cut, .and did not even touch the front yard. That night, police tell us the homeowner reported finding glass to his back door broken. When the neighbor told him what he saw, the homeowner knew nothing about it. “He was like ‘I didn’t have nobody come hired. You know, I had nobody come mow my yard, nobody was for hire.’ None of the above. I think he was more or less just shocked that somebody was actually mowing his yard,” said the neighbor, who asked not to be identified. Police said nothing was stolen and it does not appear anyone made entry, but the information the neighbor provided was valuable to the investigation.
