JCS Students “Pray at the Polls”

JACKSON, Tenn.- A group of high school students were out praying at voting locations around Jackson on Election Day. Jackson Christian School students went to six of the 33 voting locations in Madison County to pray for the elections. The “See You at the Polls” effort took up to 30 minutes during midday where students prayed for local, state and federal leaders. “You know you might vote but your candidate might not be elected wll you can’t take that as I’m gonna hate him so pray for us to be accepting to whoever the new leader may be,” said Louis Hodges, a JCS student. “I think it’s very imporant we come to the site and see the polls becausey ou know it just makes it more real to us,” said Kati Yenawine, a JCS student. School leaders said the event was not politically motivated, but driven by God, whose hand they desire to see working, guiding and blessing the nation.
