Nashville car dealer charged with assault

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) – The owner of a Kia car dealership in Nashville has turned himself in to police on charges of assault and being a felon in possession of a weapon. WKRN-TV reported Thursday that Jerry “Chris” Bostick, owner of Carnival Kia Automotive Group, turned himself in to Brentwood police on Monday. According a police affidavit, Bostick was accused of slamming a door in his wife’s face causing a “visible knot” on her face and red mark on her arm during an argument at their home Sunday. He is also accused of knocking a phone from her hand when she tried to call police. He has a felony arrest in Florida in 1989 for carrying a concealed weapon. Bostick has often appeared with his family in television advertisements for the car dealership.
