Firefighter Hurt While Battling Humboldt Fire

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. – A firefighter is recovering in the hospital Friday, after he was injured battling a fire Thanksgiving night. Firefighter Michael Lewis, who has been with the Humboldt Fire Department for a while, was responding to a house fire on 17th Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, when he suffered burn injuries to his hands and smoke inhalation. He was flown to the MED in Memphis. Officials said they believe he is recovering well Friday morning.
