Five Indicted on Drug Crimes in Tipton, Lauderdale Counties

MEMPHIS, Tenn. A cooperative effort to target career criminals in numerous West Tennessee counties has led to five arrests on drug charges. James Jarrett of Ripley, Halliburton Lee Brown of Covington, David O’Brian Cartwright of Covington, Timothy Smith of Ripley and Danny O’Neal Thompson of Halls have all been charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and distribution of cocaine. Jarrett has an additional charge of cocaine possession and one charge for the possession of hydrocodone with the intent to distribute. All of the cases are being prosecuted by the special assistant U.S. Attorney.
