Jackson Business Man Pleads Guilty in Plot for Hire

JACKSON, Tenn. – A Jackson businessman accused of hiring someone to hurt his ex-wife’s divorce attorney plead guilty, Tuesday. A Madison County grand jury indicted Patrick McCollum, on a charge of solicitation to commit aggravated assault in 2011. Investigators say McCollum paid an undercover officer to “break every bone” in attorney Harold Johnson’s body. They say McCollum’s motive stemmed from a change in his child support payments. McCollum appeared before a Circuit Court Judge Tuesday and plead guilty to solicitation aggravated assault. He will be sentenced in his next court date on January 11Th.
