JACKSON, Tenn. – A local animal rescue group is raising money for dogs and cats, while helping shoppers wrap their last minute Christmas gifts. S.T.A.T., which stands for Saving The Animals Together, wrapped gifts for donations at the Tractor Supply Company in North Jackson, earlier Saturday. The animal group began the fundraiser last weekend and will also wrap gifts Sunday, December 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers said the goal is to raise money to rescue more animals from the Jackson-Madison County Rabies Control Shelter.
