Carroll Co. Wreck Sends Two to Hospital

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a serious wreck that sent two people to the hospital Saturday afternoon. Troopers said it happened along Highway 70 around noon Saturday, just south of Huntingdon. A 2003 Kia Spectra was going westbound when it hit an embankment, flipped over, and burst into flames when it hit the ground. The driver and his six-year-old granddaughter were airlifted to the MED in Memphis with non-life threatening injuries. Troopers said both were wearing their seatbelts. The investigation is ongoing.
