Man Accused of Shooting His Fiancee’ at Best Buy Indicted

JACKSON, Tenn- The man accused of shooting his fiancee’ inside Jackson’s Best Buy store in September 2012, was indicted on Monday for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and especially aggravated kidnapping. According to investigators, Will Lutter, of Jackson, kidnapped Turkessa Brooks and assaulted a Best Buy employee. Investigators said Lutter went to Best Buy to confront Brooks about their relationship. Brooks was not an employee, but was there working for a merchandising company. Investigators said as Brooks attempted to walk away, Lutter shot her in the back of the head. Following a brief stand-off, police were able to disarm Lutter by shooting him with a taser. Brooks later recovered from her injuries and was discharged. Brooks is being held at the Madison County Jail on $300,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for March 11.
