Symphony Announces ‘Color of Music’ Art Winners

JACKSON, Tenn.- It was a busy day, Friday for the Jackson Symphony as the symphony league announced the winners of its ‘Color of Music’ art contest. Finalists entries and the top winning pictures were on display, Friday and will be again, Saturday at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. The top winning pictures will also be exhibited at the Old Hickory Mall next week. The symphony said nearly 7,000 students from five West Tennessee counties entered the contest this year. The contest involved students listening to a selection of music, then painting the images it evoked in their minds.
