Not Guilty Plea Entered in Best Buy Shooting Case

JACKSON, Tenn.- A Jackson man facing charges following his indictment for shooting his girlfriend at a busy west Jackson electronics store, enters a plea in his case. Will Lutter, 62. was in Madison County circuit court, Monday. He is facing charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and especially aggravated kidnapping. He is also charged with aggravated assault of a Best Buy employee. Lutter entered a not guilty plea and was appointed an attorney. Police said Lutter entered the Best Buy on September 4 and fired multiple shots at his fiance and assaulted a Best Buy employee. According to police, the young woman was shot at.. three times as was hit at least once in the head, and was able to recover from her injuries. Lutter is also facing charges for pointing a gun at his girlfriend and her 12-year-old son at their apartment. Lutter is being held at the Madison County jail on $300,00 bond. He returns to court on April 22.
