Two JPD Officers on Leave after Vehicle Damaged

JACKSON, Tenn.- Two Jackson police officers are on paid administrative leave amid questions of how they reacted after their car was damaged while thy were on duty. According to the department, on February 19, one of the officers got out of his car and left the door open, the door was then hit by a Jackson transit authority bus, both vehicles suffered minor damage. The officer’s adherence to proper procedure and the accuracy of the report they submitted have been called into question. An administrative hearing will be held within the next week. The names of the officers will not be released until then.
