Rose Hill Middle School Dancers Show Skills

JACKSON, Tenn. – The stage of the Carl Perkins Civic Center in downtown Jackson has hosted many acts throughout the years. But Thursday night’s performance was one of the best. Students from Rose Hill Middle School presented their dance program “Keep Life Simple – Live for Dance.” More than 150 students of all ages and grades particpiate in the dances. They ranged in style from modern to ballet to jazz to R&B. There was even a swing dance routine. Rose Hill instructors said they believe the school’s dance program teams the students discipline and responsibility. “I hope they get three things,” said Mona Lisa Lanier, Rose Hill’s Dance Instructor. “I hope they remember to be humble, respectful and successful.” Rose Hill Middle School is the only school in the Jackson-Madison County School System with a dance program.
