Lauderdale County Man Added to TBI Most Wanted List

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added a West Tennessee man to the state‘s Top Ten Most Wanted list today. According to a news release, Darius Deshun Mitchell, 25, last known address 225 Hickman Street in Henning is wanted by the TBI and the Henning Police Department for attempted first degree murder. According to a witness, on March 23, 2013, Mitchell was seen chasing a vehicle and fired a gun through the driver side window hitting the driver of the other vehicle in the face. The victim was treated at the Lauderdale County emergency room and survived. Mitchell is described as a black man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 6‘3″ and weighs approximately 200 lbs. He has tattoos on his back, neck and both arms. Investigators said Mitchell’s criminal history dates back to 2006 and includes possession of marijuana and cocaine, domestic violence, evading arrest, probation violation, reckless endangerment, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, disorderly conduct, failure to appear and traffic violations. He has previously been arrested in Davidson, Shelby and Lauderdale Counties. Mitchell is considered armed and dangerous and should be approached with extreme caution.
