Pill and paper disposal event Saturday in Shelby
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – A Saturday event in Shelby County will help people dispose of sensitive paperwork and unneeded prescriptions.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs host the shredding and disposal at the sheriff’s training academy on Dovercrest.
Pills and paperwork needing disposal can be brought to the academy between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Documents will be shredded on site. There is a two-box maximum for papers.
Sheriff’s officers will accept expired or unneeded prescription drugs.
