Herbal workshop recalls frontier life
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A look at how frontier folks relied on herbal medicine will be presented May 11 at Marble Springs in Knox County.
The farm is also known as the John Sevier Home and is where Tennessee’s first governor lived.
Jim Buckenmyer will lead a hands-on workshop at the Marble Springs State Historical Site. Buckenmyer will demonstrate the medicinal and culinary uses of various herbs common on the frontier.
The registration cutoff is May 8 and the event will be limited to 20 participants.
