CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. – Third grade students in Chester County school faced their fears at the Agri-Nature Festival. It was a day where you could pet, scream, or even just look at something you may have never seen before. “(Thursday) was so fun. We got to see all kinds of fish like catfish, we saw a huge fish and we saw raccoon skins, possums, I learned so much!” said 3rd Grade student, Carter Welch. “It was really fun like to get out of the classroom and see all these things I was familiar with some of them but not most of them,” said Caraline Rogers. Through a hands on approach students were able to learn something more about the Volunteer State. “We’ve been learning about Tennessee and they showed us some of the Tennessee state fish,” said Rogers. Through donations, these students were able to come together and learn what it means to live everyday like it is Earth Day. “I hope they’ll learn how everything from underneath their feet to the water we drink to the animals that we interrelate with the plants and trees. They all work together in this world we live in,” said Beth Jones, Conservation district secretary.
