Backfield moves: Titans sign Parmele, waive Harper

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The Tennessee Titans have made some changes at running back by signing Jalen Parmele and waiving Jamie Harper.

The Titans announced the moves Wednesday .

Parmele, a sixth-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2008, has played 35 career games. He had 40 carries for 143 yards and seven receptions for 60 yards with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season.

He also has averaged 25.1 yards on 43 career kickoff returns and has 28 special-teams tackles.

Harper had 36 career carries for 74 yards and four touchdowns as well as five catches for 40 yards in two seasons with the Titans. Tennessee selected him in the fourth round of the 2011 draft.
