Relatives of Memphis teen who was shot charged
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Three relatives of Memphis teenager who was shot to death are facing assault charges for threatening the people they thought had shot the boy. The Commercial Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/10wIJMD) that Cardarius Webb’s mother and two of his siblings went to the house of Amika McGaughy last week, a day after Webb was killed. Police have since arrested Dewayne McKissack, saying he confessed to accidentally shooting his brother during an April 29 confrontation with McGaughy. The 18-year-old is being held on $500,000 bond on charges that include second-degree murder and attempted murder. Now police have issued arrest warrants for Webb’s mother, Bernestine Webb, and his brother Timothy Lee Crawford. Another sibling, Angel Monika Scott, was booked and released on $10,000 bond.
