Modern Woodmen Present Check to Carl Perkins Center

JACKSON, Tenn.- The Exchange Club/Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse got a big boost through a donation from an insurance company. Friday, Modern Woodmen gave the organization that fights child abuse a check for $20,000. Officials said the gift came from two chapters in Jackson, one in Henderson, and one in Lexington from a $28 million national program for Modern Woodmen. Center officials said the money will be put to use helping children and families. “This money is going to help more children know that it’s not their fault and that they’re going to look forward to a brighter future,” said Pam Nash, CEO of the Carl Perkins Center. Nash said the money will pay for 35 more children for an entire year.
