West Tennesee Woman Dies in Car Crash

JACKSON, Tenn. – A mid-morning crash claimed the life of a Hendersonville woman, Saturday. Tennessee Highway Patrol said that just before 11 a.m., a tractor trailer traveling westbound on Interstate 40 was slowing down due to a wreck ahead. A Mazda 6, driven by 24-year-old Courtney Ray, failed to stop, hitting the rear bumper of the truck. Officials said Ray died on the scene.
